Mrs. Briana Alvey

Briana Alvey is a clinical assistant professor in the Dunigan Family School of Nursing. As an APRN specializing in women’s health, Briana has worked as an advanced practice nurse in women’s health for over ten years. She began her nursing career as a labor and delivery nurse in 2003 working at the bedside before obtaining her MSN and moving into the women’s health office setting. Additionally, Briana teaches various community education classes for Deaconess Women’s Hospital. She serves as an American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor. She began her career in academia as an adjunct professor in 2018 teaching obstetrics in the hospital setting for Ivy Tech Community College. In January 2024, she began teaching full-time for the University of Evansville as an assistant professor of nursing at the sophomore and junior levels.
Outside of nursing, Briana is married to her husband of 25 years and resides in Dixon, Kentucky. She enjoys traveling, especially to visit her two children. Her oldest child resides in Atlanta, Georgia and her son is currently a midshipman at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

Paige is a clinical assistant professor of nursing at the University of Evansville. She graduated from the University of Louisville with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2017. She graduated from Ball State University with her Masters of Science in Nursing (Nurse Educator Concentration) in 2021. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Paige’s clinical background is in medical-surgical nursing, including neurology, oncology, orthopedics, and trauma. She is credentialed as a Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse by the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses and a Certified Nurse Educator by the National League for Nursing.
In her free time, Paige enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, and reading.

She completed her master’s degree in nursing education from Western Governors University after taking a break to have a baby during the COVID pandemic while working bedside nursing in the ICU. She has served as an adjunct professor since 2019 at UE, focusing on physical health assessment and critical care. Currently, she is the assistant professor of nursing and simulation lab coordinator.
In addition to academia, she is actively involved in Girl Scouts with her love for volunteering at Camp Koch. She loves encouraging young girls to build their confidence and leadership skills so much that she recently picked up lifeguarding and archery certifications. She loves spending her free time with her two girls and husband in the outdoors.

In 2018, Kacie advanced her education by earning a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Nursing Education from Western Governors University. She has extensive clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing and has worked as a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner. Her leadership roles include serving as a team leader for interprofessional development education in the acute care setting and as an accreditation specialist, providing continuing education for nurses. Additionally, she has acted as a nursing academic success coach for remote learners.
Kacie is also an American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor, as well as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) Instructor for the State of Indiana. Outside of her professional commitments, she cherishes spending time with her family and enjoys traveling, especially to the beach.

Chantal is certified as both a Lactation Counselor and a Trauma Nurse Specialist. She has also had training to be a pediatric, adolescent, and adult sexual assault nurse examiner, and helps to prepare other healthcare professionals for emergency situations as an ACLS instructor.
Chantal resides in Fort Branch, Indiana. In her free time, she likes to serve at church and go camping with her husband and four kids.
